Miss Missouri Outdoors/Show Me Missouri State Platform:
Educate everyone about Missouri's great History and all the wonderful places to visit and enjoy......Get out of the House and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you!!
YOU SHOULD FULLY UNDERSTAND:
1.) The purpose of the pageant is to promote Missouri's tourism, conservation, scenic waterways, and non-profit organizations.
2.) The Title has duties and responsibilities.
3.) The Queen will sign a release form stating permission to utilize her pictures to promote tourism.
4.) The Queen will be exposed to a great deal of promotion and television coverage with no financial compensation.
5.) Appearances will cost your time and money.
YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO:
Miss Missouri Outdoors and Show Me Missouri Queen Titles
we don't want to have two pageants so we will select our two Queens from our Miss Missouri Outdoors State Pageant contestants.
Our Show Me Missouri Queen is not our first alternate. We are choosing our top two contestants out of each age division as our Queens.
Queen with highest points will be our Missouri Outdoors Queen/Queen with second highest points will be our Show Me Missouri Queen.
Miss Missouri Outdoors is our most important Queen since this is the Miss Missouri Outdoors State Pageant.
She will be awarded a Black and White double Rhinestone sash and silver crown. This has always been the tradition of the Miss Missouri Outdoors Pageant. Our Show Me Missouri Queens will receive a red/white/blue double Rhinestone sash and gold crown. We want our Queens to look their best while traveling throughout Missouri promoting Missouri's tourism and non profit organizations!
We regret that we will be spending more for the gold crowns than the silver but.......this does not reflect in any way Show Me Missouri Queens are more important than Miss Missouri Outdoors Queens. Our Miss Missouri Outdoors Queens will be in charge of the next Miss Missouri Outdoors State Pageant. Show Me Missouri Queens always have the option of competing or assisting the Miss Missouri Outdoors Queens. The Miss Missouri Outdoors Queens always come first in making appearances unless the Show Me Missouri Queens are requested.
We should be proud to have two GREAT QUEEN titles in our program. When you enter this pageant please understand that the contestant with the second highest points will be a Show Me Missouri title holder....with a gold crown and a red/white/blue double Rhinestone sash like your black/white double Rhinestone sash.
YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO:
1.) Make public appearances.
2.) Project the epitome of majestic demeanor at all
times.
3.) Study the history of the state.
4.) Work closely with the public and the director.
5.) Promote tourism and non-profit organizations.
JUDGING CRITERIA
2009 Miss Missouri Outdoors State Pageant (August 30th, 2008..Labor Day Weekend)
Rolla, Missouri
Baby , Little Princess, Princess and Little Miss will be Judged:
(Age 0-9years)
Model/beauty-20 points, poise-15 points and personality-15points/(total: 50 points per judge)
Model your pageant T-Shirt and light blue jeans with black shoes (wear your preliminary sash and crown)
Evening wear/beauty-20 points, poise-15 points and personality-15 points/(total: 50 points per judge)
Pre-Teen , Teen , Miss, Ms, Mrs and senior will be Judged:
(Age 10-Married and senior) (senior-50 and up)
5 minute Interview per judge/Pre-Teen, Teen, Miss, Ms, Mrs and senior
beauty, poise, personality and desire to do community services and promote tourism.
total-100 points per Judge. This is when you let your personality shine!! You will take home valuable
interviewing skills. Such as making good eye contact, speaking confidently and sitting properly
during an interview.
model: 40 points-model pageant T-Shirt and light blue jeans with black heels (wear your preliminary sash & crown)
/introduction-10 points
Beauty, poise, personality, confidence and how you present yourself.
Contestants will introduce themselves on stage, saying their names, hometown and something interesting about themselves. No more than three sentences! During competition you will be learning how to speakeffectively into a microphone and how to confidently and professionly present yourself on stage. You will take home the lifelong skill of introducing yourself and speaking on stage to a live audience.
Evening Gown-50 points /Beauty, poise, personality
Contestants will be individually introduced on stage. This is your moment
in the spotlight wearing the gown of your choice!!! You will take home the lifelong skill of walking
and standing like a polished and confident young lady. Choose a gown that shows off your
unique personality. The color and style are your choice. You should feel confident and excited
about who you are and who you were created to be!! Remember all Contestants are Winners!!!
Top Five: On Stage Questions-10 points/how you handle your questions...One Question on Missouri/Second Question off your bio. You should know the answer to the question off your bio. If you don't know the answers you could still get 10 points...if you handle your question good. The question is only worth 10 points....these points will be added to your total score. You could miss both questions and still win.
Remember, pageants are not all about winning, but about learning life skills that will help you
be the best you can be. Support one another and be proud of the new queens.

Highest points after Show Me Missouri (alternates do not make state appearances)
If you won the Miss Missouri Outdoors title in your age group and still remain in that age group you may enter the pageant and if you have the highest score or second highest score you will be awarded the Show Me Missouri Title.............If you won the Show Me Missouri title in your age group and still remain in that age group you may enter the pageant and if you have the highest score you will be awarded the Miss Missouri Outdoors title......if you are a past Show Me Missouri Queen and still remain in that same age group and have the second highest score you will be crowned Show Me Missouri for this year
**You will not be crowned with the same title twice within the same age group for the Miss Missouri Outdoors title
You may only win the Miss Missouri Outdoors Title in your age group, one time.) You may enter the pageant as many times as you wish until you have won both titles in your age group(Miss Missouri Outdoors title and Show me Missouri title)
Senior, Mrs, Ms, Miss, Teen, Pre-Teen, Little Miss, Princess, Little Princess & Baby

We will not double crown Miss Missouri Outdoors title or Show Me Missouri title with the Photogenic title.

Our Program provides young women with a fair environment and the opportunity to achieve personal
growth by gaining self-confidence, public speaking skills and social skills.
The pageant is a learning experience for all of the contestants. Lasting friendships, confidence gained
are what make a tremendous pageant experience.
The Miss Missouri Outdoors and Show Me Missouri titles provides young women with the opportunity to:
Gain confidence, leadership and public speaking skills.
Volunteer and support non-profit organizations.
Travel throughout the state to promote Missouri's tourism while learning more about the state
and educating others on what Missouri has to offer.Share their talents, be a role model and receive recognition for their dedication to service.
